Todays Monarchs

It's a sunny Autumn day, warm and breezy. The Monarchs are fluttering around in a feeding frenzy, bulking up for the long flight south.

Monarchs feed with their wings closed. I had all but given up on getting an open wing shot, today I lucked out.

They are pretty with the wings closed but I wanted them both ways.
I'm greedy that way.

Beautiful picts, Andy.

I must admit I am partial to the glads. They are my grandmother's favorite flower. She likes yellow best and when my dad visits he always stops at the store on the way into town and buys her several bunches.

And thanks for the comment on the clothes drying. I am new at is since I just moved to a place with a clothes line. And found a new pleasure. Your tarps are lucky!

I'm glad you commented because I forgot to bookmark your blog, I would have lost it for sure.
