Woe is Me

I forget how to do this, . It's been years.
First they priced Daily Pics out of existence. I reluctantly drifted to FaceBook. Helped built a thriving gardening group. Resurrected my old Accolade Perennials nursery. Ready to launch this week, fully stocked.
Some one is reporting me for I don't know what. I can't find out what I did wrong. Been shut out for days. So I'll try to do something here. Not sure what, will sleep on it.

Fall clean up at the community garden.
A handfull of us got together to ready the Frederick Douglass Avenue Garden for winter.
I helped remove the tarp from the new pergola. "Just 4 screws" the builder had said. They were not the old Slotted or Phillips head but Torq. A #20 size, Argh. ~ Some time later we got the front free, easy with the right tools. Move the ladder, climb and find a hypodermic needle & tourniquet stashed in a fold of the tarp.
I've found needles in the garden before even in the rain barrel but never new unused ones.

An over grown abandoned lot behind an Auto repair shop 6 years ago. Now an inner city oasis ~ with a heroin problem.

Hollywood comes to Town

A major motion picture is filming about a mile from home.
I'm compiling a photo journal documenting the site prep and a few action shots. Access is restricted.

Just Checking

A next door neighbor stopped by today wondering where I've been. "Don't see you in the yard lately."
He was fond of Sarah so I told him. It was nice to have someone check in on me.
The guy on the other side of me cut down trees that were shading out my veggie garden. Thank You
It's too hot to cook so I donated a bag of ripe tomatoes at the senior center. The old lady smiles get me every time.

RETURNING 
It's been nearly 5 years since my last post. Much has changed. 
My social photo site Daily Pics has shut down. I no longer work at my Zazzle account but it remains open.  Go buy something, ha.
The open heart surgery is a distant memory, I've resumed riding a bicycle as rehab.  I feel much better now.
Sidekick Sarah has passed away at age 16½, we grew old together. She is sorely missed and a large part of my return to Blogger. 
I will have to re-learn navigation and likely redesign this 10 year old blog. 
All in good time.

 

A Lucky Find

I found an old leather box containing century old family photos last month. It was in a box headed to the dump that was forgotten. Everything was in poor condition stinking of mold and mildew. A little cleaning brought the box back to life. I snapped some pics and used them to create really cool items for my store.

Christian Tote Bags

I stopped at a large cemetery in Boston a few weeks ago to snap pics of all the flags on veterans graves. It was inspiring to see. Then I noticed some impressive statues. It was mid day with a very bright sun, not the best time for photographs. One Bas Relief of Jesus kneeling in prayer was highlighted by that hard sun. I knew what I had to do as soon as I saw it. It took some photo editing but this is the result.
